YCIS Shanghai Graduates Receive Top IB Scores

news-ycis-ib-scoresThe recently released IB scores are giving the graduating classes of 2014 at Yew Chung International School of Shanghai’s Gubei and Century Park Campuses more than summer and their college departures to celebrate, as the graduates’ top IB scores highlight their tremendous achievements and academic diligence.

In fact, the average combined IB score of the Year 13 students at both campuses was a remarkable 35.2 points out of a possible 45. When compared to their peers worldwide, they well exceeded the 2013 average worldwide score of 29.8. Furthermore, several of the graduates achieved an amazing 44 out of 45. In addition to the high scores, over two thirds of YCIS Shanghai students (67%) received a bilingual diploma, demonstrating the impact of the school’s robust Chinese language programme.

This fall, these new alumni will attend top universities around the world. University acceptances included Cornell University, Amherst College, Berklee College of Music, Rhode Island School of Design, University of Bath, Boston College, University of British Columbia, Durham University, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), Imperial College, Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), Korea University, McGill University, University of Notre Dame, Parsons The New School for Design, Pomona College, Swarthmore College, University of Warwick, and more.
