ycis-sports-honor-sIt has been a phenomenal year for senior sports at Yew Chung International School of Shanghai (YCIS). Achievements include 6 league titles, 3 ACAMIS Championships and the school’s first time as host of the ACAMIS tournament in basketball.

These milestones were just part of the celebrations at the annual Sports Dinner Awards held in April, as the main purpose of the evening was to acknowledge graduating athletes and other senior sportspeople for their personal achievements, improvement, and contributions to a strong performance by YCIS Shanghai on the international school circuit.

Long time Puxi Head of Physical Education Ray Kentish is proud of how the year unfolded, “A big thank you to all the coaches and students who made this a very memorable and successful year. We look forward to next year’s challenges!” Likewise, YCIS Pudong Head of Physical Education Rick Rolls has nothing but praise for the skills and sportsmanship at the growing Pudong Campus: “[This year was] the first time we have ever had a SISAC Badminton Team. Our students won the mixed doubles, lost a very close match in the Men’s Singles Final, and demonstrated persistence in the Men’s Doubles.”
