Head of Performing Arts at Yew Chung International School of Beijing, Beth Kerzee, is preparing to take to the stage herself in one the leading roles in Beijing Playhouse’s next performance “You Can’t Take it With You.”

ycis-beth-sAs a veteran performer and Performing Arts teacher, Ms. Kerzee is no stranger to the stage, but she believes her involvement with Beijing Playhouse helps with her personal development and benefits her students, “I have learned so much from Beijing Playhouse and I can take a lot of that back into the classroom and share with my students.”

Beth Kerzee has been working with Beijing Playhouse since October 2009 when she decided to get involved by auditioning for a part in “The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge”. Since that Christmas performance she has also taken on the role of Musical Director for “I Do! I Do!” in the spring.

The story of “You Can’t Take it With You” revolves around a couple from different social backgrounds who struggle to make their families see eye to eye. Ms. Kerzee will play Jenny, one of the troublesome in-laws. The play will run from 3rd -19th September at YCIS Beijing.
