April, 2015

In April, students, staff and parents from the Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) embarked on their annual trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. They planted 120 trees for disadvantaged families in the rural community and built new houses for large families. Aside from this, the WISS group was working on their ongoing project, the Jian Jin Hong Community Centre. They worked with volunteer dentists and nurses from China to run a 3-day Dental Clinic on their land, as well as build green houses. The WISS Site is a model for sustainability and community action and is developing more and more each year.
