dcs-trinity-school-visitOn the morning of 18 March, fourteen students and two accompanying Mandarin teachers from Trinity School, New York City, paid a visit to Dulwich College Shanghai. Trinity is one of the oldest schools in the USA with over three hundred years of history. This is one special episode of their China tour.

Fourteen Dulwich students, seven from Y10 and another seven from Y12, were chosen to be the hosting students. As all guest students learn Mandarin at their school, they joined in different Mandarin classes at the Senior School, depending on their Chinese proficiency. The guests also joined in three other classes including English, Science, PE, Drama and Theatre Studies, depending on the timetable of their hosting buddies. The accompanying teachers also visited all three Dulwich schools and were tremendously impressed with Dulwich College in general. Dulwich Shanghai students showed great maturity and hospitality and fulfilled their hosting tasks successfully. There was a lot of friendly chat and laughter.

This was an excellent opportunity for the students to take responsibility, to develop interpersonal skills and to share their learning experience with their counterparts from the other side of the world.
