Every summer, YK Pao School offers a dynamic range of interactive activities and programs in a fun, bilingual learning environment suitable for children from all over the world.

“Everyone was really friendly and I made a lot of friends on the first day, I met people from Hong Kong and I was the only Malaysian there at the summer program,” said Lim, Hui Wen. Hui Wen and her sister, Hui-Lin, participated in YK Pao School’s annual Mandarin Summer Camp program this past summer where they had a blast interacting with kids from all over the world while learning about Chinese culture.

Immersion activities included Chinese painting, Calligraphy, Chinese cooking, and the traditional musical instrument, Guzheng.

In addition to learning Chinese, their experience spent in the Mandarin camp also increased their self-confidence and inspired them to learn more about the world around them. “My children became more confident in speaking the language, whenever we went shopping, dining and sightseeing. They were confident in ordering their own food and drinks, asking restaurant staff for certain items that they needed, as well as buying tickets for the Aquarium,” says Maria Ho, mother of Stephanie (9) and Julian Fung (7), both of whom attended the Mandarin camp.

In addition to their Mandarin programs, YK Pao School also offered a variety of sport activities in the summer including American football, hockey, basketball, badminton, and many more.
