Summer Academy at Shanghai American School

Dates: June 24 – July 26

This year the SAS summer programs are focusing on environmental issues and offering Environmental Technology and Global Awareness programs along with traditional favorites of Literacy and Science from previous summers.

summeracademyThe Literacy Program for pre-kindergarten up to grade 8 will have 3.5 hours of literacy enrichment, but also includes sports, swimming, and Mac computer projects on the environment. The Science Program for kindergarten to grade 5 will have 3.5 hours of science and also includes sports, swimming, and math or art (the science units this year are Ecology, Solar Power, Robotics, and Rocketry). Geometry is available for SAS students that have completed the pre-course packet.
For the older students there are some exciting adventures available! .
Study Chinese Language and Culture while earning 6 credits from Nanjing University. Take a four-week course at Mt. Lushan from July 1 to July 26.
Try sailing on Dianshan Lake during June 24–28.
Join the Chess Camp at SAS with a Hong Kong master during June 24–28.
Study environmental science in the Teton Mountains of Wyoming.

Go on an Arctic adventure with Students on Ice and see how global warming affects the environment.

SCIS’ ECE Campus Summer Kids Camp 2013

Dates: June 17 – July 12

Shanghai Community International School (SCIS) has an action packed summer program of developmentally appropriate activities, specifically designed for early learners. Activities will include games, sports, outdoor play, swimming, field trips, art, music, language, culture, and free play. Children will be provided with various opportunities to work together, play, and have fun with their friends!

scis-summer-kids-campFees: full-day (8:30 am – 3:00 pm) program costs 2,500 RMB for each 1-week session. Half-day (8:30 am – 12:30 pm) program costs 1,700 RMB for each 1-week session. Both full-day and half-day tuition includes lunch and all activities/field trips.

Transportation is optional, and costs 350 RMB/per child for each 1-week of service.
Students (Date of birth ranging from November 1, 2005 through November 1, 2010), including non-SCIS students are welcome to enroll for the program.

Open registration is available March 15 through May 1, with conditional enrollment afterward based on availability.

Concordia HS Summer Course on SAT/PSAT Preparation

Dates: June 13 & 14, 17 – 21, 24, 25, & 26

Time: 10 weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.

concorida-sat_science-6315The course format is as follows: Each day, students will rotate through three separate classes designed to cover the material tested on all three portions of the new SAT and PSAT Tests. Those three sections include Writing and Grammar Review, Critical Reading Review and the Math Review Section.

All high school students may register to take the course, with preference given to Concordia students who are enrolled for the fall 2013 school year. Current grade 8 students (who are entering high school in fall 2013), and a limited number of current grade 6 and 7 students may also register to take the course. Class size will remain intentionally small to benefit students enrolled in the courses. A limited number of students will be accepted into the program (35 - 40), on a first payment basis. Once enrollment has reached the maximum, students will be placed on a waiting list.

Cost: 8,000 RMB (Tuition includes instruction in three classes, a textbook, all review materials, classroom instruction materials and 5 full-length tests with scores/answer keys.)

SUNRISE Kindergarten Summer Camp

Time: full day camp from 8:30 – 2:30pm),

The summer camp at Sunrise International Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten offers a lot of fun activities for children, including: field trips, arts & crafts, painting/drawing, water fun, food activities, stories and songs. It is open for children aged 2 – 8 years old.

Fees: July camp (July 3 – 31): RMB 8,026; August camp (August 1 – 16): RMB 4,377.84

Tiny Tots Summer Camp

Dates: June 24 – July 26

Tiny Tots International Preschool and Kindergarten will offer 5 weeks of Summer Fun! Children from 2 to 7 years of age are welcome to come and enjoy activities including Swimming, Water Play, Tennis, Soccer, Ballet, Kickboxing, Gymnastics, Science, Music, Computer, Arts and Crafts and weekly Field Trips.

Summer Programs at Suzhou Singapore International School

Summer English Preparation Program (4 weeks)

This program is for students who are in Grade 6 – Grade 10.

It is an introductory lesson for other students who want to learn English in a communicative and interactive setting.

Overseas Exchange Program (10 days)

This program is suitable for those aged 6 years old – kindergarten students.

This program allows students to immerse in a classroom setting in a Singapore established kindergarten and also extend their global learning experiences. 

Accompanying parents will have opportunities to learn about the culture and have fun during the education tour.

American Universities Visit Program (14 days)

Tour to expose students to various famous universities in the US and allow interaction with their students.

The program is designed for students who have plans to further their studies in America and would like to have an initial exposure to their culture and people.
