Stars and Stripes American Kindergarten Summer Camp 2011

Ages: 3 to 6 years

July 4 – July 29 (4 full weeks) Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM

Where: Stars and Stripes American Kindergarten

There will be two classes of students: 2-3 years old class and 4-6 years old class. At the camp, children will spend most of the time playing outside on the very large and green playground of Stars and Stripes campus. They will try on both structured and unstructured PE, and learn a lot about music and art! Teachers will work 1-on-1 with individual children to improve English, Math, and Science skills. And there will be 4 field trips!

Fees (includes two snacks, daily Chinese lunch, class materials, and all field trips):

2 weeks at 4,000 RMB; 3 weeks at 6,000 RMB; and 4 weeks at 7,000 RMB; plus school bus fee at 250 RMB per week.

Ages: 5 to11 years

Dates: July 11th to 29th (session 1) & July 18th to 29th (session 2)

Learning Mandarin through interesting and varied activities, small classes of 10 ~15 students, art and crafts, sports, drama all taught in Mandarin, qualified teachers from our established school, friendly host family.

Visits are arranged to Songjiang university town on outskirts of Shanghai and botanical gardens, and also visit to local Shanghai farm, orchards, rice plantations and circus performance.

Livingston American School Summer Programs 2011

Dates: June 27th to July 22nd (session 1); July 25th to August 12th (session 2) 

Ages: Nursery to Secondary level

Nursery - Elementary Programs

The Nursery program will be the LAS Tiniest class while LAS Minis class caters to Pre-K and Kindergarten programs. Elementary classes this year will be based on a more fun, hands-on, activity-based approach that will strengthen and develop a student personally and academically. Classes offered range from music to language and pottery and more!


Secondary Programs: Grade 6 to 12

The secondary program includes credit courses (i.e. Algebra II, Biology, Chinese and US History), a brand new college preparatory course, intensive language courses as well as self-defense and computer application courses. LAS welcome students who are on the early graduation track or students that require a certain class to graduate on time to registrar for credit courses.

A new feature of LAS summer program is the college prep course, which will introduce students to the necessary skill set of conquering college applications, and writing unforgettable resumes and cover letters. The language courses, English and Chinese are intensive programs designed to boost student’s oratory skills over the course of the summer to prepare them both academically and professionally. Martial arts course will teach students about basic self defense while students will acquire basic Photoshop skills and Flash animation in our computer applications course.

SUIS Champions of the Earth: Techno-Sport Summer Camp

Ages: Primary and secondary students

Dates: July 4-8; 11-15; July 18-22; July 25-29

The SUIS Techno-Sport Summer Camp will focus on four areas: animation creation, energy techonology, sport training and survival training. Join this camp, kids will be able to learn different disaster facts and explore/experience extraordinary survival skills, at the same time receive professional sports group training (soccer, basketball, swimming, etc.) to ignite your energy, protect yourself and safeguard the family. Camper will be also be able to gain animation and movie making skills build a future dream-city with their teammates and make a movie for it.

Suzhou Singapore International School Summer Programme 2011

Ages: 5 to 11 years

Dates: June 20th to July1st and July 4th to 15th

The programs are designed to enhance students’ interest in art, music, reading and writing, cooking, Chinese and physical exercises. It is going to be a fun, exciting and creative way for everyone to spend the summer. These activities will be led by SSIS in-house teaching staff and professional students program instructors in a safe and secure environment.

A sign up summer course consists of a selection of 2 different activities indicated by the participant. Each participant must choose at least 2 interested activities from the list. She/he will engage in these 2 activities for the duration of 2 weeks, from Monday to Friday. The selection of activities are: Rhythmic Swimming, Sport & Games, Swimming, Cooking, Colour Painting & Pottery, Calligraphy, Creative Reading & Writing, Chinese Exploration, Creative Music, Snack Making, Sketching. Each activity is available on a first-come-first basis. When an activity has insufficient numbers of participants, an alternate activity will be recommended to the participant.

Each course fee ranges between 2200-2700 Yuan. (A combination of 2 activities)

Transportation can be arranged and will be charged accordingly. Transportation is only available to students in SIP, City and New District Area.

Shanghai American School Summer Camp 2011

Ages: Pre-K to High School level

Shanghai American School Summer Camp 2011 offers a series of comprehensive programs for Pre-K to High School students. The camps will be carried out in three sessions: June 27th - July 1st (session I); July 4th – 15th (session II) and July 18th – 29th (session III). 

The first session will be Exploratory programs for the students; then followed by Education programs for session II & III.

For example, the SAS HS Camp (Grades 9 to 12) includes Exploratory Programs for session I (June 27th - July 1st) and Education Programs for session II & III (July 4th – July 15th; July 18th – July 29th). The HS Exploratory Programs include: e Graphic: Write & Create Animated Graphic Novels, Basketball and Sports Writing Camp, Geometry, Special Program - Chinese – English Bilingual Camp. The Education Programs include: Writer’s Workshop, Basketball Camp, Guitar Camp, Special Program - Chinese – English Bilingual Camp.

Elective programs are offered for all campers at all grade levels. For example, High School campers can choose to take: Swim Games, Beginning Guitar, Be A Film Documentarian, Martial Arts, Photo Journalism, Swim Games, The Wizardry of Special Effects in Photography etc.

    Happykids offers seven weeks summer camp this summer. Starting on the 9th of July until the24th of August. Happykids offers daily music, drawing,sport and water games activities.
