On 20 May, MinHang Preschool pupils of Shanghai Singapore International School (SSIS) brought their favorite storybooks to life in their spectacular Preschool Fiesta.

Stories teach us many things, such as good manners and kindness, how to be brave and clever, how to be a good friend and to care for others. K1 Ruby class started the show with the story of Silly Sally, a little girl who walks backwards, which made everyone laugh. Nursery Ruby class delivered a wonderful Mickey Mouse dance from Meeska Mooska Tales and K1 Pearl class gave a little twist to the much-loved Gruffalo story by having two little mice on stage.

K1 Ivory class performed Who Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar, in which the skunk learns how to share his cookies with his friends, and Nursery Amber taught the audience about good manners with their wonderful performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

K1 Amber showed how important it is to help one another with their story of The Little Red Hen, while Nursery Pearl’s The Ugly Duckling showed that people are all different and at the same time all very special.

The young performers had as much fun on stage as the audience had watching them. Preschool Fiesta was a fabulous, entertaining celebration of the children’s dancing, singing and acting skills and love of reading.
