On October 22nd, Shanghai Singapore International School (SSIS) hosted its first International Family Bazaar on its Minhang Campus. SSIS PSG (Parents Support Group) organized the event, which was filled with fun and exciting activities.

Visitors who came to the bazaar enjoyed the beautiful autumn day, strolling on the campus grounds, visiting the various booths, tasting the delicious international cuisines, and enjoying the entertainment provided by the SSIS students and community. The family bazaar took place on the track and field of the Minhang Campus. Plenty of space was available to the young children to run freely. The children had much entertainment to choose from throughout the day. A lot of fun games such as marble picking, tossing of balls, and mask painting were operated by SSIS High School students. Beside the game booths, a giant bouncy castle was set up for the little ones to play on.

An outdoor stage was set up next to the tracks. SSIS student performers and SSIS community performers entertained the crowd with songs, music, dance and even martial arts performances.

More than sixty vendors participated in the event. Vendors displayed their wares under the red and white SSIS tents. There were alleys of goods to choose from including clothes, shoes, home décor, toys, home appliances, kitchenware, jewelry, plants, spa & wellness services, and arts and crafts. The vendors generously sponsored prizes for the lucky draw.

All proceeds from booth rentals were donated to the “Morning Tears” charity organization. It was an unforgettable day for all.
