Planet Pals

PlanetPals is a comphrensive site that encourages strong pro-social and po-active values on friendship, teamwork, responsibility – and most of all – appreciation. Along with environmental awareness, it encourages creativity, learning and problem-solving in ways that will inspire and delight kids and adults alike. Teachers will be in enviro heaven – there’s book lists, lesson plans, ideas on fundraising and even a magazine – PlanetPals Earthzine kids will love. APR environmental kids club

Environmental Kids Club

Run by the US Environmental Protection Agency, the EPA Environmental Kids Club helps little ones explore the environment and learn how to protect it. There’s a plethora of fun and highly educational sections like Recycle City, Save Our Species, Yucky Worm World and how to become a Planet Protector. Sections include fantastic interactive games, activities and lesson plans which are ideal for schools but also great to engage the kids at home. Global warriors will love every minute.

APR the globe program 

The Globe Program

For slightly older kids, GLOBE is a fascinating, hands-on science and education program that brings together students, teachers and scientists keen to better understand, sustain and improve Earth’s environment at local, regional and global scales. The program works closely with NASA and NSF Earth System Science Projects, making it extra super cool. The international GLOBE network includes representatives from 111 countries and its students have contributed more than 20 million measurements to the GLOBE science project database. Contribute!

EcoKids

EcoKids is a visually-driven site providing comprehensive and highly detailed information, games and activities that will quickly engage young readers, and delight parents and teachers. Themes include Wildlife, Energy, Water, Waste and Climate Change, and all interactive elements are sophisticated, educational and fascinating.
