At the 2013 Fédération Aéronautique Internationale F3C World Championship held in Poland this past summer, grade 12 student of Shanghai American School (SAS) Brandon Xue represented China and competed against 64 of the best pilots from 24 countries with his remote controlled helicopter. He won the silver medal in the F3C Jr. group.

This is the first time that the Chinese national flag was raised at the championship. Brandon’s worldwide ranking, including the adult group, has been raised from 29 to 16. This is a great achievement for Brandon and a new record for China’s aero sports.
