Angela Yu, a senior at Shanghai American School (SAS), Pudong Campus, has won the Adobe Innovative Award for Print and Graphic Design for the Asia-Pacific region.  The announcement, made by Adobe, means that Yu will receive Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection software. Appropriate entries for this category included illustrations, postcards, logos, labels, packaging, photography, yearbooks, advertising, magazines, posters, brochures, books, newsletters, and more.angela_yu-1s angela_yu-5s angela_yu-7s

“I will find this extremely helpful next year in college,” said Yu of her prize. Yu has applied to two California colleges, Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She hopes to earn a BFA in graphic design at one of these institutions.

Yu’s winning work featured a series of posters she called “SAS Pudong Chronicles” seen here on this page. Her talent is such that she’s designed the cover for the yearbook for all three divisions of the Pudong campus schools.
