New Early Intervention Class Offered at Care for Children

Child development research has established that the rate of human learning and development is most rapid in preschool years. Timing of the intervention becomes particularly important when a child runs the risk of missing an opportunity to learn during a state of maximum readiness.

Families with children who have delays in any area of development are encouraged to look into The Early Intervention (EI) class offered at Care for Children for 2-5 year olds. cfc-1s

The EI Class is seen to be a transitional class, offering students with some learning differences the opportunity to catch up to their peers. It is a semi-structured and play-based class, using the English Curriculum: Early Years Foundational Stage. All key learning areas of the curriculum will be addressed but individualized for the age and ability of each student. Unlike other pre-K programs, there will also be opportunities for each student to attend therapy sessions (speech, physic, OT) as part of their school schedule. The class has a small number of students, with a high teacher to student ratio.

The class takes place this term on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9 – 11 am. The teacher is Kym Bullen; a registered Occupational Therapist and qualified teacher of Early Years Education. For more information please contact Meryl Bailey at: meryl@careforchildren.com.cn
