LittleStar Postcard Design Competition
 
Theme: Share the Planet
 
Entry Requirements:
The size of the design should similar to the standard postcard size (165mm x 102 mm), and no bigger than A4 (210 × 297mm)
The contestant only needs to design the front side of the postcard.
Only hard copies are acceptable.
Each contestant can submit no more than 3 designs.
All contestants should CLEARLY write their full name/ nationality/ age/ class/ Grade/ school, and contact information (contact person, telephone, email and address) on the back of their designs.
 
Eligibility and Categories:
Contestants must be students studying at international schools in China.
All contestants will be classified into 5 age groups: under 6 years, 7-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16 and above.
 
Means of submission:
Contestants are required to hand in their finished works to their school art teachers. The staff of LittleStar Magazine will collect the entries from each school in the week after the deadline (January 31st to February 11th, 2012).
 
Deadline of submission: January 31st , 2012
 
Prizes:
1st = 2000 RMB (prizes), 1 winner in each group.
2nd = 1000 RMB (prizes), 2 winners in each group.
3rd = 500 RMB (prizes), 3 winners in each group.
Public Choice Award: 6 winners
 
Judging and Results:
The judges for the Postcard Design Competition consist of invited professional artist and designers; members of the LittleStar Magazine team and art teachers from participating international schools.
The winning designs will be chosen through both public appraisal, professional assessment and by our judges in a total of three rounds of voting.
Final results will be released on LittleStar Website (www.internationalschool.info) and Newsletter; every contestant will be informed through emails too.
 
Award ceremony:
A Grand Award Ceremony will be held in March 2012 (Date/Time to be released in January 2011), with live performances, snacks and drinks. All contestants, teachers and parents are welcome to the ceremony.
 
The Art Book:
As special Art Book for the competition will be issued afterwards, which will be a complete collection of all prize-winning designs, names of all the contestants, reviews by the judges, and also pictorials of the competition, award ceremony and information about all of the sponsors.
Each contestant will receive a copy of the Art Book.
Complimentary copies will be distributed to the well-selected venues where expatriate families congregate.
 
Property issues:
During the competition and the year following, LittleStar Magazine has the right to use all the submitted designs in its publication and other printed materials.
Contestants’ entries may be retrieved upon request by the contestant in April 2012. Otherwise, LittleStar has the right to keep the works for its own purposes.

    I go to an international school in Shanghai. If this contest includes EVERY international school in China does that mean I can just give my art teacher my designs and he’d know how to submit them to the LittleStar Magazine team without being puzzled?
