Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS) was visited by Ken Weng-Hee Ho, the Regional Director of the Asia-Pacific Office of the Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC) & National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) recently.

Mr. Ho gave a presentation on the Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) to Year 10, 11 and 12 students.

This summer, eight Year 11 and 12 students from YCIS will be attending the GYLC which is to be held in New York from June 29th to July 10th. This event is one of the most prestigious Youth events held for students, and it is a great privilege for them to have their nomination accepted. During their 10-day stay in Washington, D.C. and New York, the students will take part in mock debates at the United Nations and discuss world issues.

Eight more students have been nominated, and these students will take part in leadership exercises and examine world issues in preparation for next year’s conference.
