Halo 3

Probably the biggest game to come out on any platform this season, Halo 3 sees the third chapter in the celebrated action franchise, with the mysterious Master Chief once more on the frontlines in the name of freedom and all things decent. This entry promises to make the most of better visuals and more intense action, with devotees looking forward to tons of online adventures as well. With the tagline of “finish the fight”, Halo 3 is a must for all game and science fiction lovers.

Beautiful Katamari

Successor to the bestselling Katamari Damacy, Beautiful Katamari goes once more into the breech with improved graphics and a bigger scope for the deranged, unreal brand of chaotic humor that made the series so liked among many. In case you didn’t know, Katamari is all about gathering stuff: from school books to the entire school, as your character grows and grows and keeps growing. It’s occasionally a bit cruel but always tongue in cheek and refreshing.

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction

What has become an established hallmark of the Playstation range is looking to return to the limelight this fall with an all new outing for dynamic mechanized duo Ratchet and Clank. Together, the not-so-cuddly heroes must embark on a journey of discovery and lots of downright frenetic action, with spiced up effects, beefier graphics on the PS3 and a whole slew of new weapons. This one looks like it’ll keep both kids and parents glued to screens for quite some time.

eye of judgment

The Eye of Judgment

From the very first time we learned of this game, we were excited. It brings to the fore all the allure and cerebral challenge of classics like Magic and Archon, but adds to the mix fascinating visuals and gameplay that benefits from the latest technological developments. Eye of Judgment is a pseudo-card game featuring mythical creatures and mages battling it out under the command of vicious warlocks, otherwise known as you and anyone you play with. Well, when school’s out for the day this will be one of your favorite things to do, for sure.

It doesn’t matter that Nintendo’ new console is the smallest of the bunch, as it can certainly accommodate even the biggest of blockbusting hits. And now, it is getting the Sims treatment, adjusted to make the most of the Wii’s hardware and looking cuter than ever. No longer the adult-themed life simulator you may have experienced on your PC, this Sims rendition is better suited for the entire family and has within it a plethora of neat touches. Of course, depth of play hasn’t suffered in the transition, plus you’ll get to interact with some likable characters from other games.

Donkey Kong Barrel Blast

Interested in flexing those Wiimote muscles? Want to add some exercise into your daily routine? Might as well, now that the legendary REAL king of the jungle, Donkey Kong, has deigned to stage a comeback. He’s bringing along most of the original gang of friends and rivals remembered from his previous games, in addition to a few new ones. The catch is that Barrel Blast is a racing game with rocketing barrels. Naturally it’ll be just as addictive as those Mario Kart titles, and so, expect your studies to face some stiff and compelling competition.
