DUCKS children have been very creative this term and have adapted their own version of the book ‘Flat Stanley’ by Jeff Brown.

The children were busy creating their own ‘Flat Stanley’ drawings during library time and have posted him to former students of DUCKS who are now around the world and to the librarians at all the other Dulwich Colleges in China.
They have already had an overwhelming response, receiving letters, photos and cards from friends far and wide including Sydney in Australia, Boise, Idaho in the USA, Seoul in Korea, as well as Suzhou and Beijing, China to name just a few.
Mrs. Joanne Woodward, Head of DUCKS said, “This is an amazing idea put together by our DUCKS librarians Mrs. Helen Bradley and Ms. Cookie Xu. It really demonstrates to our student’s one part of our Philosophy and Objectives; ‘We have friends in many countries’. It has been a pleasure to watch the excitement in the classroom when the children get a reply from one of their friends in another country.”
