After the seven-day National Holiday, the students of Fudan International School enjoyed a day of field trips on 10 October. Elementary School, Grades 6 – 10, and Grades 11 and 12 respectively went to different destinations. Grades 6 – 10 students went to the Shanghai Film Museum, where the students not only learned about the history of Chinese cinema and the filmmaking process, but also were treated to a brand new Hollywood animated film, and to the 3-D Museum, where they had fun taking pictures against the backdrop of 3-D visuals employing optical illusion. As for Grades 11 and 12, they went to the Shanghai Glass Museum, where they enjoyed an interesting and educational program on the process of glass manufacture, and then proceeded to Daning Park for an afternoon of field activities and camaraderie. All in all, the field trips turned out to be a success, and proved to be both entertaining and educational for students and teachers alike.
