Families, Homes and Occupations at Tiny Tots

Every March, the theme at Tiny Tots International Pre-School and Kindergarten is Families, Homes and Occupations. During this month, the school invites parents to come to their children’s classrooms to speak about their home countries, jobs or hobbies. Parents can use pictures, stories, songs or activities to share something with the children about their cultures and interests.

This year, Tiny Tots welcomed a Kindergarten student’s mother to school, who is a talented erhu and guzheng player. She explained the history and function of the instrument, and then performed music for and with the Tiny Tots students. These parent visits provide a wonderful opportunity not only to support children’s natural curiosity and knowledge, but strengthen cooperation between home and school.
