Exceptional IB Exam Results for YCIS Beijing

ycis-graduates-sYew Chung International School of Beijing is proud to announce that their Year 13 students have performed exceptionally well in the 2010 IB examinations.

100% of students who sat the IB Diploma examination achieved their goal. The IB Diploma is a qualification that proves academic excellence and will open the door to top quality international universities.

Half of the class chose to sit the coveted IB Bilingual Diploma, which proves they have a very high level of competency in two languages. 100% of students who applied for the Bilingual Diploma obtained it successfully.  

One YCIS Beijing student scored the maximum points possible - 45 out of a possible 45, showing an all-round ability in a range of subjects as well as the Creativity, Action and Service and Extended Essay portions of the course.

21% of students achieved over 40 points. This result is very impressive as only 5.49% of the world’s population achieved 40 points or above in the 2009 examinations. 

The average IB Diploma score for YCIS Beijing students was 36.1. This is well above the world average of 29.5 in 2009. The average subject score amongst students was 5.7 (out of a possible 7). The world average in 2009 was 4.66. 

With such excellent exam results the students will now be able to finalize their university plans and prepare for the next step in their lives.
