On February 26th, 2012, over 200 parents attended an informative lecture at the Star River Four Seasons Club on “How mistakes in early childhood education can prevent children from realizing their potential and bring Montessori into the home”. Etonkids International Educational Group hosted the event, with the main speaker being Etonkids’ Chief Academic Officer and Director of Etonkids Montessori Teacher Training Academy, Dr. Marlene Barron, PhD.
The event started at 9:00, with Dr. Barron sharing the 9 special characteristics of children and ways to integrate the learning that takes place at school with lessons at home. All in attendance listened attentively to the tips shared by Dr. Barron based on her career of careful study and research into how children learn and the importance of providing a seamless environment between home and school.

Along with the motto of “educating the future, educating for the future,” Etonkids seeks to improve early child education in China through offering programs that emphasize academics as well as personal character building and care for others. Through public lectures such as this one, Etonkids seeks to raise awareness among parents of the importance of a child’s early years and how a child’s experiences during the formative years impact their later academic and personal lives. Etonkids’ constant mission is to allow more children to experience the joy of learning while growing up happy and healthy.
