On Wednesday 27th October, the Dulwich College Beijing Community gathered to celebrate the opening of the new Early Years Childhood Centre at its River Garden campus. Following the opening ceremony, where Mrs. Clare McDouall took the ribbon-cutting honours, guests were invited to tour the impressive facilities- which include a comfortable coffee-and-chat area and music room- and were treated to some fantastic musical performances by Dulwich Senior School students.

The aim of the new centre is to complement the existing toddler, nursery and reception classes with extra resources to help educate and support families and caregivers, and which allow parents to become fully involved in their child’s education. Regular events include weekly Come and Play sessions, parent-and-toddler groups, informative talks, story-time sessions and Ayi workshops; since opening, parents and children have also enjoyed Nia, Christmas Floral arranging, Mummy and Baby massage, and yoga.
