dulwich-suzhou-maddDulwich College Suzhou recently hosted the second annual four-day event to celebrate Music and the Arts with over 300 students and staff travelling from across the Dulwich network of schools in Asia. Students from Dulwich College Shanghai, Dulwich College Seoul, Dulwich College Beijing, Dulwich College Singapore and Pun Hlaing School Myanmar, attending their first Dulwich event, received a very warm welcome from Dulwich College Suzhou with an opening event showcasing their amazing Marching Band and Taiko Drummers.

During an intense three days of MADD activities, encompassing the fields of Music, Art, Drama and Dance, students were able to learn first hand from visiting guest artists and develop many new skills that culminated in a spectacular performance on the last night for parents and fellow students.

Fascinating Art instruction was provided by Kaisu Koivisto from Finland, whilst Dance students received expert guidance from Daniel Prewitt, Lindsay Hughes and Bethany Sootheran from USA to advance their skills. Drama saw Neil Farrelly from the UK and Mark Hill from Australia delivering their unique and entertaining tuition to equally enthusiastic students and finally the musically minded students had the wonderful opportunity to receive advice and practice some new skills from the Wisemann Brass Ensemble (UK and BEIJING) and Percussionist Eduardo from Cuba.

A fabulous event and a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
