Continuing Growth and Expansion for BIBA

This year’s Opening Ceremony at BIBA marked the start of its eighth year of operation.

BIBA has come a long way - from 2006 with some 50 students, to an impressive campus serving over 700 students.

This is primarily thanks to growing demand for schools that offer an international program (in BIBA’s case, with a US curriculum), but which also include a strong Chinese program.  BIBA’s Kindergarten is truly 50/50 English and Chinese, but as students progress up the grades, so the percentage of study time using English increases with the objective that graduating students may progress as bilingual students able to continue with Higher Education in an international setting.

BIBA’s growth has been organic in nature, and this year sees the opening of its High School Department under the leadership of MS/HS Principal Jane Krader, who has worked for over 20 years in international schools around the world. The first two weeks of the school year have seen plenty of academic and non academic activities – from a “Delinquent Aces” Pop Band performance at Sports Beijing’s Festival of Sport to a colorful House Assembly.

BIBA’s growth is set to continue throughout the year with the building of a new gymnasium, another football pitch and the development of the High School Department.
