Over the past three years students from both schools have teamed up to organize special events benefiting local Shanghai charities, and students have learned when they collaborate great things can happen.

On 22 May, the students from Ping He and Concordia faced off in the Unity Charity Soccer Match, a friendly sporting event comprised of co-ed teams of students and teachers from both schools. Attendees enjoyed refreshments and dance performances before cheering on their favorite players. Proceeds from the event went to support Huge Grace Orphanage, a local charity improving the lives of children in China.

“Collaboration and social responsibility are 21st century learner values that both schools are nurturing amidst the waves of exams and academic rigor,” says Concordia Middle School Counselor Amanda Abel. “There is power in unity, and we can reach many goals with others by our side.”
