The Canadian International School of Beijing’s (CISB) Children’s Choir got the chance to perform before all athletes in the Bird’s Nest at the Closing Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

It was a magical moment when the students, full of excitement, as well as nervous about singing in front of the world, performed the Olympic Anthem in Greek while the Olympic flag was being lowered.

That was the main objective for the students, who, for this worldwide event, had been practicing very hard to get ready. They had to give up their summer holidays to rehearse at least 3 times a week.

The Canadian International School of Beijing’s had previously been performing in many different events such as in Yunnan Province to record the Chinese New Year event, and the July 3 and July 29 shows on CCTV. They also traveled to a lot of cities such as Athens, London, Paris and San Francisco to promote the Olympic Spirit.
