ycis-bj-cis-college-fairOn 24 April, Year 11 and 12 students at Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS Beijing) were given the opportunity to speak directly to representatives of 22 US colleges as part of the Council of International Schools (CIS) College Fair held on the school campus. The fair was organized by YCIS Beijing University Guidance Counselor Ryan Jordan, who himself is a member of the CIS Guidance Committee, acting as a liaison with the CIS Asia and the CIS Office of Higher Education.

This wonderful opportunity allowed students the chance to ask questions to university representatives, who are likely to read their future university applications, collect information and make useful connections. The fair was just one of the many activities and sessions YCIS Beijing provides for students in the Secondary school every year to help them further their own research into their potential university choices. As Ryan Jordan states, “From Year 10 through to 13 we do everything possible to make sure students make the right choices for them. We start talking about bigger university topics with Year 11 and by Year 12 they are researching universities, looking at everything from admission requirements to campus size and life. Every year, close to 150 universities visit the school from all over the world.”

YCIS Beijing wishes students all the best with their future university selections and will always be there to provide the best support possible.
