bsb-music-circusPrimary School students have been showcasing their musical talents in April at BSB’s annual Music Circus.

On 22 April, Year 3 and Year 4 students performed to parents, showing what they have been learning throughout the year as part of the Primary Instrument Program.

Students in these year groups are given the choice to learn violin, cello or guitar as part of BSB’s music curriculum. Year 5 and Year 6 students have the choice of learning wind instruments including trumpet, trombone, French horn, clarinet and flute. The upcoming date for the year 5 and 6 Music Circus is Thursday 8 May.

BSB Director of Music Marguerite Chaplin said the Music Circuses were a celebration of the hard work put in by teachers and students throughout the year. "Learning an instrument is not easy, but our music program is about participation and opportunity and I am very proud of the students’ efforts in the Music Circus. It is exciting for them to show what they have learnt and perform in front of their parents. That’s what our Music Circuses are all about."
