Celebrating the diversity of its student body at the British School of Beijing (BSB)– over 50 nationalities being represented at the school, a spectacular ‘Celebration of Music from Around the World’ was staged by our Key Stage 2 students on BSB Sanlitun Campus on January 27th.

The concert repertoire was extremely varied with musical items representing Germany, the West Indies, China, Native Canada, England, the Caribbean, United States, Hungary, Israel, and France! The program included performances by all of our talented musicians, featuring the string ensemble, the trumpet ensemble, the flute ensemble, the clarinet ensemble and the choir.

Key Stage One students also loved to share their international flair, by singing and performing songs from different countries from Chile, Argentina, Jamaica and Barbados to Africa. The display of musical talent was fantastic; with the children singing as well as playing recorders, violins and cellos.

Parents were also treated before the concert to snacks and refreshments from around the world, really adding to the international feel of the evening. Everybody was able to get a feel of every nation’s different musical panache.
