britannica-prefectsDavid Goodwin, Principal of Britannica International School Shanghai, was proud to issue Prefect Badges to the first batch of students to undertake this role. These students have been selected through an election process held by all Secondary teachers. The students were excited to hear that they will also be receiving a prefect tie to make them easily identifiable to all students, staff and visitors in the school.

The students will be given training and support throughout the year to enable them to enhance their leadership skills as they adjust to their new duties. These duties will include: managing the recording and display of house points, helping to manage the canteen during break times, helping new and younger students to feel settled and secure, and leading by example throughout the school. This role is just one of the many outlets that students have to develop and improve their leadership skills here at Britannica, as the school is committed to producing ‘Learners of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow’.
