The British International School Shanghai Puxi Campus has a very strong academic reputation based on its ability to help students produce consistently high level results through globally regarded exams validated by world-leading organizations. As the school moves into its 10th anniversary year, BISS Puxi is delighted and proud to report that, once again, the school’s graduating class has achieved outstanding results. All Year 13 students take International Baccalaureate Diploma examinations in their final year – recognized as the most prestigious worldwide pre-university award.

The graduating class of 2015 achieved an average Diploma score of 35 points, compared with a global average of less than 30. Two of BISS Puxi students scored the highest mark – a maximum 45 out of 45 (two of only 146 students in the world to achieve this) and three other students gained scores of 44. A total of 25 per cent of the cohort achieved marks of 40 points or better – five times the global average of 5 per cent.

“We are all very pleased with the results that our students have achieved this year in the IB Diploma program. They have been a highly cohesive group who have been very successful in all areas including music, sport, art, drama and community service and they are very well prepared for success at the next level,” Principal Kevin Foyle commented.

These results are a testament to the Nord Anglia Education High Performance Learning approach to teaching, from which all the students benefit, and, as a result, BISS Puxi students are well prepared to move on to study a variety of academic disciplines at prestigious universities across the world, this year including Cambridge, Duke, Northwestern, KAIST and Imperial College London.
