From April 21-23, Beijing BISS International School hosted the 2016 Green Division ACAMIS Football Tournament. This tournament consisted of three full days of games, social events, and a final awards ceremony for the participants.

Each school was represented by both girls’ and boys’ teams, consisting of a maximum of 12 players each. The teams were guaranteed to play a minimum of six games over the three days, before a select number of teams went through to the knockout rounds.

BISS represented themselves very well, playing their best and conducting themselves with dignity and respect both on and off the field.

On the second day of the tournament, BISS had many fans cheering them on, with students and teachers from grades 6-10 joining in the excitement by supporting their teams. There were also many parents and friends who came along to show their support throughout the tournament. In addition to the cheering fans, there was a BISS PTA stand selling snacks and drinks. Many of the players and fans bought tasty treats and refreshing drinks from the snack stand, with the PTA doing a great job catering to everyone at the tournament.

It was a tough three days which led to sore muscles and injuries, but the kids persevered and competed to the best of their abilities. Lasting friendships were made and athletes of each school can be proud of their performances.
