bibs-donationBeanstalk International Bilingual School, Primary School Grade 1 students have been learning about their first Unit of Inquiry - Friendship. One of the lines of inquiry they covered was "Friendly Hands. "Children were provoked by pictures and PowerPoint presentations of friends that are less privileged than they are. They raised important questions and thoughts when it came to discussing the problems they saw. When asked how we would help to make those underprivileged children happier, the answers varied from supplying them with ice cream every day and lending them teachers to helping teach them and play games with them.

One of the practical things the students all agreed on was bringing things to the school so they could pass them on to underprivileged children. They turned this idea into action. BIBS invited staff from New Hope Foundation to come to the school campus on 14 October. New Hope Foundation is located in Shunyi, Beijing, and cares for sick and physically disabled babies who have been abandoned. On the day, BIBS Grade 1 students showed their love in action by donating lots of goods for the children at New Hope Foundation.
