ssis-suzhou-arts-week-muralArt happened all around Suzhou Singapore International School during Arts Week in February.

Students witnessed exciting drama skits and music performances, participated in the English prose, poetry and photography competitions, took part in fabric dyeing with their fabric sewn together to form a SSIS quilt, and contributed to a fish mosaic outside the school cafeteria.

Edward Hopper’s best-know painting, Nighthawks, of customers sitting at the counter of an all-night diner, came to life as students and teachers re-enacted the SSIS version entitled Hop into a Hopper.

Students also created a mural painting inspired by Keith Haring outside the Art classrooms. Students across the school had many fun learning experiences as the Arts came out into the open at SSIS.
